HDD Control

Let’s take quick look at the arrangement of Ashampoo HDD Control 2 !  To allow for quick and easy navigation through the various functions, the makers of Ashampoo HDD Control 2 have developed a highly user-friendly interface. Since all of the functions are implemented and displayed in a similar manner, the learning curve is not at all steep.

Using the tabs (see red frame), you can easily switch between the various areas / functions. Using this bar, you can navigate throughout the entire program. Click from left to right through the program to see everything that Ashampoo HDD Control 2 has to offer.

The function bar (see green frame) indicates which functions are available in the selected area. Of course, various different features are available depending on the tab you have selected (Monitoring, Defragmentation, etc.). These features will be described further below in this help text. The Monitor functions are shown here as an example.

The hard drive overview (blue frame) displays your hard drives and partitions. You are provided with basic information on the size, temperature, health and performance. For instance, you can click a partition in this list to select it for defragmentation. This overview is only displayed in tabs where this information is also useful.

The area at the bottom (yellow frame) presents the results of various functions. For example, the SMART monitoring results are shown in the figure. The various tabs contain information such as the results of the benchmark test.
