This strategy will defragment all possible files, but not will move them to a better position on the disk.
This strategy should be used, if only a quick defragmentation of fragmented files is needed.
PLEASE NOTE: Running a defragmentation will not accomplish much, if you have been running Defrag in the proactive or background mode. On FAT formatted volumes this selection is ignored and the default strategy for FAT volumes is used.
Normal Defragmentation This strategy will defragment all possible files and move them to a better position on the disk for faster drive access. This provides a more thorough defragmentation optimization of the disk. This strategy should be used if the files on the disk are not often modified.
PLEASE NOTE: This procedure is considerably slower than the fast defragmentation, but provides more complete optimization. It is not necessary to use this mode every time, unless the time needed to run the procedure is not important.
On FAT formatted volumes this selection is ignored and the default strategy for FAT volumes is used.
Intelligent Defragmentation This strategy will defragment all possible files and move them to a better position on the disk for faster drive access, while leaving often fragmented files at the end of the used space of your partition.
This strategy should be used, if a lot of files on the disk are often modified.
PLEASE NOTE: On FAT formatted volumes this selection is ignored and the default strategy for FAT volumes is used.
