What does “Analyze Disk Usage” do?
This analysis enables you to evaluate how much hard drive space files claim. It is organized into different types, for example documents, audio or video files. This way you can see exactly which file type claims how much disk space. This feature could help you to free resources, for example by deleting files, which use up lots of space, but which you rarely or never use.
Procedure
Click on the Analysis tab to start (see picture below).
Then you can select which hard drive is to be analyzed. Just click on the drop-down list (see red arrow) and select a hard drive / partition. Then click on Start.
The option Chart (see red box) offers different types of charts to show the results.
In the drop-down list next to Show (see red box) it’s possible to select only a certain types of files (audio files, applications, archive etc.). This way results can be displayed separately.
